Pick My CPA is committed to being transparent about how accounting service providers appear in our directory, what paid plans mean, and how we maintain the quality of our listings.
Free Listings
Any qualifying accounting or financial service provider in the United States can submit their website for a free listing. Free listings appear in search results ranked by relevance to the user's search query. Relevance is determined by how well the firm's services, keywords, industry focus, and geographic coverage match the search terms entered. No payment is required to be listed or found on Pick My CPA.
Paid Visibility Plans (Plus & Pro)
Pick My CPA offers optional paid plans that improve a firm's visibility in search results. Paid plans do not mean a firm is better, more qualified, or more trustworthy than a free listing.
Plus Plan
Improved keyword matching, logo display, and priority boost in relevant searches. Labeled with a Plus badge.
Pro Plan
All Plus features plus eligibility for Featured and Sponsored placement positions. Labeled with a Pro badge. Featured positions are clearly disclosed in results.
Featured & Sponsored Placements
Some search results may include a ⭐ Featured Provider or 📢 Sponsored Provider label. These labels clearly indicate that the placement is paid. Pick My CPA does not allow paid placements to appear without disclosure.
Listing Review Process
All submitted listings go through a review before they are approved and made searchable. We check that the firm:
- Is a real, active business offering accounting or financial services
- Has a working, legitimate website
- Operates in the United States
- Does not promote misleading or harmful content
Pick My CPA does not independently verify professional licenses, certifications, or credentials. We recommend verifying a firm's qualifications before engaging their services.
Corrections & Removal
Firms may request a correction or removal of their listing at any time by contacting Pick My CPA. We process all requests promptly. If you believe a listing contains inaccurate or misleading information, please let us know.

Are paid listings more trustworthy than free ones?
No. Paid plans (Plus and Pro) improve a listing's visibility in search results, but they do not imply the firm is better, more qualified, or more trustworthy than a free listing. All listings are reviewed before being approved.
How are free listings ranked?
Free listings are ranked based on relevance to your search query — how well the firm's services, keywords, and industry match what you searched for. Firms serving your state are shown before nationwide firms.
What does a 'Featured Provider' badge mean?
Featured Provider badges are shown for paid Pro plan listings that appear in featured placement positions. This is a paid placement and is clearly labeled as such.
What does a 'Sponsored Provider' badge mean?
Sponsored Provider labels indicate a paid listing placement. Pick My CPA discloses paid placements clearly in the search results.
How can a firm be removed or corrected?
Firms can request corrections or removal by contacting Pick My CPA through the contact page. We review all requests and act promptly.
Does Pick My CPA verify firm credentials?
Pick My CPA reviews submissions for basic quality and relevance before approving listings, but we do not independently verify licenses, certifications, or credentials. We recommend doing your own due diligence before hiring any firm.
Can any accounting firm be listed?
Accounting, bookkeeping, tax, payroll, CFO advisory, and related financial service providers in the United States may apply. Listings are reviewed and may be rejected if they do not meet our standards.
